Writing an account of our trip so I can look at this if I start to forget.
Thursday - We got to the cottage about 8pm after miraculously finding it, down half a mile basically through farmers fields, down a hill which we thought nothing of at the time, but ended up having to dig our way out of said half mile hill track.. As soon as we got there I went into 'unpacking making everything comfortable' mode, what I do when I'm staying anywhere but home. Hate living out of a suitcase! After all this was sorted I made us roast dinner while Jamie sorted the fire, housewife much?! We then went to bed where I bumped my head at least twice!
Friday - The next day we woke up to an insane amount of snow, and a very stuck car. We spent the day in search of more firewood. Thankfully the company who owned the cottage was veryyyy helpful and we were all set. We made a huge big snowman, made korma, dealt with snow related scary power cuts and discovered that if you sit in front of the fire after a shower the water evaporates off you, steamyyyyy.
Saturday - Today we dug/moved snow, with our feet, for half a mile to get the car out, got desperate at one point and I was driving Jamie's car when he tried to push. Didn't work. But yeah car finally got out and we drove to a national trust walk to Barafundle Bay where we explored a completely empty beach and wrote big initials in the sand. We were going to explore a little chapel but we were way too exhausted so came back to the cottage. Made enough pasta and bolognese for about 10 people and watched game of thrones allll night.
Sunday - Woke up fully depressed we had to leave, and depressed at the thought of having to walk back and forth half a mile to the car over and over with our stuff, luckily Jamie could move it but we still had to walk up a depressing tiny bit of a hill, quite hard with jelly legs. We left cottage (after taking a million more pictures) and went to amazing Pembroke castle and blue lagoon water park, we had no towels and I had to sacrifice 2 layers of clothing to dry ourselves with in the tiniest cubicle ever.. Planned on not getting hair wet because wet hair makes me cringe to the absolute extreme, but after a million watersides it was impossible, so much fun!
Cannot believe we are home and I start uni again on Monday at NINE O'CLOCK. Will definitely be going back, it's only made us more certain and excited to move in together :) Florida next though, yaaaaaay!
